gorilla tape is pretty bad for tubeless tape in my experience, and no good shop should use it.
It is heavy, and gets heavier as it absorbs sealant. It also seems to always let some sealant seep through into the rim, where it makes gross sealant dirt boogers.
It leaves gross residue that is a total pain the ass to clean.
It can really fuck up carbon rims, since the adhesive is strong enough to delaminate the carbon when you have to remove it.
TL;DR: Just spend the money and get some quality purpose made tubeless tape. I am partial to the stuff made by Whisky, but mostly because it is what we stock at work.

what 'abolish the police' means is funding them less and or cleaning house and completely restructuring them and in turn funding social welfare initiatives like addiction treatment and mental health support

That article is explicitly about that you brainlet. She is explicitly arguing how disingenuous marginal reform is from the conservative liberal establishment. Not that she thinks they actually secretly have broader goals, but that they don't, that they are willfully de-radicalizing her progressive movement.

I agree we should open up the mental institutions Reagan shut down and be able to institutionalize people against their will again. Thats what literally caused the homeless issue was shutting that down. I’m a little racist fine but for one reason or another there are a lot of people in this country with a moral compass and cultural norms completely antithetical to that of most people, and we either bend the system to accommodate them or bend them to accommodate the system. This is what I took issue with.
The idea that the left has a single dogmatic position on the issue, which is completely abolishing the police, and within that, there is no room for discussion without being demonized and dismissed. It's simply not true.
The first example given to support it actually proves my point as the article was simply not arguing to 'completely abolish the police'.
