It pains me every day to know that I will never be an airline pilot in the 1980's. Aesthetically perfect cockpits with the right mixture of CRT screens and steam gauges, beautiful and very memorable liveries, sexy trijets. Modern commercial aviation might be more technically advanced, but it's soulless in comparison to the world that existed 30-40 years ago.
