A pure flying wing is in theory the most efficient plane design when it comes to aerodynamics. However, flying wings have always been used for military purposes and unmanned drones (not the best /n/ material) rather than say, homebuilts or small scale passenger flights which tend to worry much more about things like fuel efficiency, cheap operation costs, and the environment. So it baffles me how little they have been explored outside of amateur remote controlled models.
You all have any examples of flying wings? Also just out of curiosity would a forward sweep or zero sweep flying wing work?
