Why can't colored buttons replace the deadman's pedal on trains? Every 30 seconds light up a random color and the driver has to press it within a few seconds or the brakes start applying. Wouldn't this be more effective than simply releasing a pedal or pressing the SIFA button?

A driver having a fit could keep having spasms and hitting the same button/pedal.
