You're right, but it's still better to use electric vehicles. There's no way that a 2 stroke or even a standard ICE can compare to the efficiency of a regional power station.

why shouldn't I get one? I already have a class M license for all motorcycle sizes. Truthfully I'm waiting until performance from something like the Zero DSR can be had for around $5k but as the bike is now, I can't afford $10k but its specs are sweet. Hell, what I want is a bike with about half the Zero's performance at the $3k mark.

No, these shitheaps pretend they aren't like regular vehicles and use bike lanes and ped paths on the bridges here. There's this unregulated system of electric mopeds with no plates or licenses required despite a normal moped requiring them and of course not being allowed to drive on sidewalks or bike lanes.

Buy a proper motorcycle, and enjoy getting 50mpg's. 30 mile range is a joke for something that costs $3k. You're better off buying a sub 1k standup scooter, or ebike if you absolutely want something electric.
