>>1608839At the end of the day, all anyone's goal in life is to survive. This commenter isn't fetching water, chopping wood, putting diapers on babies or anything like that to be charitable to the rest of the world, they're doing it to earn a wage in order to survive and exist in a society where they aren't expected to be entirely self-reliant.
If someone else can survive at sea as a permanent way of life, then okay they're largely working just for themselves, but you're not leeching off of anyone else. As as far as living for yourself goes, there's far more damaging and harmful ways to go about it. Like trading in the stock market, being a venture capitalist or being a rent baron, yet I'm sure this youtuber commenter thinks those kinds of people are A-okay because they only go on a boat for their "well earned" holidays.
Working shit jobs is necessary and absolutely people who do are underappreciated in society, but that commenter shouldn't try to bullshit anyone else that he chooses to do that work for moral reasons. Given half a chance he'd be off jet-setting around the world on money from patreons, doing reviews of 1st class seats on prestigious airlines.
