Always tired. Have to catch up on sleep at the away terminal motel all the time.

Union gave up extra rest at home for extra board getting a free day. Up no longer gives the extra board their free day.

Always chasing your turn. You get 10 hours at home then you can be called when ever.

Hit Federal Rest almost always because no options to rest your self. Get turn held and be first out after 48 hours. Unions stopped letting extra board take FR turns.

Lay off sick and they take your vacation days. They also give you points in draconian attendance policy.

PL days hard to use when you want. Have to schedule them months out for desirable days.

Yeah, you can make $120,000 a year but your life will be shit for it.

And that's my schedule EVERY week after being here 7 years. I only get two weeks of vacation to boot. Fuck this shit.

Should of hired with BNSF desu. They let you layoff seven days a month whenever you want. 5 weekdays and 2 weekends. No penalties. You can put in layoffs in advance but if no open slots are available people just call out sick.

Not until 8 do I get 3 weeks. I get 4 after 17 years, and 5 after 25 years. The benefits are overrated, honestly. Most companies you have 4 weeks after 10 years or so.

No they wouldn't. At least on the board you might not work a day or two, hit your assigned off days, and collect guarantee. This is the worst of both worlds. I want my extraboard/vacation relief assignment rebulletined so I can work 2 days a week, but COVID has fucked everything.

In 6 to 7 years and I can hold long pool/pull as a conductor.

$1300 a round trip. 3.5 trips a half. A couple days off between turns. Rarely have to do set outs or pick ups.
