i got it rewelded on tour at a garage
it snapped off again
fucking front racks always seem to break.
i think one of the problems is that it needs bending to fit and i bended it to fit on the bike, so it would like spring back if you took it off. I should bend it far enough off the bike so it's not held in tension when it's attached.
and I did massively overload it and ride it on rough terrain so i don't blame nitto.
I don't really understand the nature of the repair or if it can be properly strong or what prep work i should do. I might try grinding down the surface before i take it in again. Or maybe work out like a plate that wraps around and clamps rather than just a tiny weld on that point at the end. Thoughts?
