My country and germany has less than half the fatal trafic accident, measured per 100.000 cars (not inhabitants), and norway who are no less strict with their drivers capabilities, has only three whilst the US has 14+. And norway does not have any other option than driving, and is the current oil capital of the western world, whilst also having a lot of electric cars - just pointing out, that it's not because they're not driving, the Norwegians has no other option than driving other than skiing of course.
