I've ridden a fucktonne of IGH's and they all shift 101% of the time effortlessly, without a sound, swiftly and reliably.

The image you posted is of a nexus 8 hub of the SG-8R31 or newer version, which exclusively uses roller clutches and do not emit a ticking sound in any gear, unless pedallying backwards or pushed backwards in gear 5 through 8
