>>1601662I love rail to trail but they are getting these easements in a dishonest way. In my city the Rock Island rail easements ran with the land but reverted if unused and could only be sold to a RR. When rock island fell into bankruptcy they sold the rights of way to the County who created a fictitious RR company before buying the land for 50 mil.
I cant complain everyone who lives on or near the Rock Island Trail has seen their home values go up.
