>>1615706You're wasting your time, he'll never get it, he swallowed a bullshit pill that told him any kind of power assistance is retarded, I get iit though, i enjoy my ebike for the exact same reasons, I only have a 250w motor, so I can't blast up hills, but I no longer dread steep hells, they still require some effort, the motor isn't powerful enough to get me up there alone, and even if it was the 10ah battery would drain in no time, but the rest of the time it's all me, all my energy on the flats and of course just me and gravity on the downhill.
This board has some very odd characters who seem to forget that generally we are wll here because we love cycling, and there's so many ways to enjoy cycling, so many niches, so many styles, that's why it's such a wonderful hobby, we're out there in the fresh air feeling feeling the ground as it passes beneath us with no cage around us, all of us know that feeling and we all love it, and so we should also appreciate that even if that's the only thing we have in common it's a wonderful thing to share.
I read posts on here from people who have a completely different approach to cycling, or who cycle in different ways on different bikes for different reasons, it's great and i would never shit on any of them, I respect them all and just enjoy hearing about why they love the bicycle in all its forms as I do.
Ebikes are bikes, of course some fat lazy boomers with no consideration for others give them a bad name, but there are always going to be assholes no matter what hobby or activity you want to mention, but we don't have to tar everyone with the same brush, that's a small minded brainlet take imo
