Why tf couldn't companies lile GE get creative and build a competetive strategy against Alstom, Siemens and ABB back in the days? Congress would have allowed it because "muh amierica dominate market", fucking GE had so much potential that if only they would have the right people back then they could have zeroed out the reliance of foreign companies manufacturing trainsets to the US.
