any airfags here? would it be a bad idea to get an airdrome kit to build as a first plane?
i've always liked the idea of flying in ww1 era aircrafts since i was a child so this doesnt seem too bad, i live close to the guy who builds these and he offers a course where he can let me build part of it in his shop with his help so i dont fuck up anything
i'm only probably going to get a sport pilot license and i'm not really looking to do that much long distance flying unless i decide to upgrade to a private license down the line
and before someone says that these are unsafe and all the other what have yous' because its a ww1 design, they're modernized versions and are a lot safer and controllable than the originals, i've even heard someone say that they're forgiving
depending on what kind of situation i'm in a few years down the line when i buy it i'm probably gonna buy either the d-6(pic rel) or the d-7
