does anyone else notice that cagers become way more aggressive towards cyclists in the winter? I never have a problem in the summer but some wigger in a honda accord just tried to start a fight with me saying that I need to bike on the sidewalk. this shit NEVER happens to me in the summer

There are way less pedestrians in winter and you are going slower, so sidewalk in winter is viable.

No, quite the opposite. I find cyclists much more aggressive and less aware of their surroundings. These two cyclists the other day cut in front of me, despite me being in the first lane of a roundabout, blasting through red lights, forcing me to drop almost to a crawl in a box junction to afford hitting them (despite my exit being clear). They then spent the next mile riding in the centre of the road up a hill, nearly getting hit by oncoming traffic and forcing me to stop start repeatedly as they stopped randomly in the middle of the road as they got exhausted.

Anyway, OP, what you're seeing the effect of two things
1) Motorists HATE paying attention, and having to makes them fucking angry. Inclimate weather makes them have to pay more attention
2) Motorists are insecure pissbabies who take cyclists as a personal affront, a value jusdgement a 'Im better than you' statement an this is only amplified by the inlecment weather
