This, its one of those airplanes that even after passenger service was great at freight. MD-11 is the two person cockpit version of what the l1011 should of been.

Slightly larger DC-10 with more modern avionics and updated engines. Perfectly viable plane in 90's and early 2000's. Found a niche in flying combined passenger and cargo routes like its predecessor DC-10, both of those have massive cargo hold, even with upper deck being passenger cabin. Will continue in cargo service for years to come.
