It's a hotel but the scenery and attractions change every few days. It's not hard to understand the appeal even if I personally don't want to go one any larger than maybe this.

They would be awesome for the future of ferry travel. Instead of airplanes, a well interconnected network of ferries with amenities that make them an attractive alternative for not too time sensitive travelers interconnected with HSR for transport further inland.
If they were used seriously and allow easy non-direct conncetions timed to each other and bookable with a single ticket a lot of tourist would be tempted to use them to get on holiday, reducing the amount of air traffic. Also there are a lot of people that still don't like flying.
More affordable options such as a third class with bunks or worse could allow measly served corners of the world to be connected. This would offer benefits especially between Africa and South America and along the African and Indian Coast where international road and rail are underdeveloped.
The focus should be efficiency. Using this as a boomer cruise is plainly disgusting.
