I never understood why is it so frowned upon to the point of it becoming illegal.

we should allow cycling on pavements, with minor regulation such as cycling only on the right pavement and having speed limits.

That's the more likely issue. Then again the only people skating or rollerblading are children anyway.

Also the only people who want to put cyclists on sidewalks are buttmad drivers. Neither cyclists nor pedestrians want this.

According to Yurocuck laws:

If your governments were bike-friendly they would allow them to be used as serious transportation rather than limiting them to keep the poors on a leash and as recreation for the rich.

Cyclists in the UK are genereally irresponsible. Most don't bother with lights on their bike and don't show consideration for others that they share the road or path with.

There is a law that regulates bicycle lights, these days you can pretty much only buy lights that comply with it.
Quite interestingly it became pretty much an industry standard.

One class of E-bikes is limited to 25km/h and 250W, it's the lowest class, needs no insurance and is legaly just a normal bicycle.
There are higher classes that need insurance, the next highest class is 4000W maximum.
Said insurance is like 30-50€/year.

These aren't exactly limiting the useability of bicycles, especialy E-bikes are booming in germany.
Cargo E-bikes are becomming more and more of a thing as well.

False. At least in Italy the light system on a pedal cycle must be electric (unlike animal drawn vehicles which can also use oil lights). There's no mention of power source, voltages or amperages of the electric system

The upper limits are similar to those of a motor car. Not wanting people go around with headlight that burn the eyes of other people is not hamstringing

e-bikes that are still classified as pedal cycles. You can buy powerful two-wheeled e-bikes (pedelec) but they are classified as moped class L1e-A (max 1kW) or L1e-B (max 4kW) so you need an AM driving license, plates and insurance. class L1e-A is assimilated to a bicycle when operated on the public highway in some EU states

Europe has a law on bike lights? Nothing like that exists in the UK. Bike lights have always been around in the UK as far as I know. That's at least the 1960s anyway. I was born in the 70s and have had bikes from the 60s with built in dynamo lights. Batteries were too unreliable then to get any duration out of them.

It's a german law, no idea about other EU countries.
But it's not like they realy enforce it or non-compliant lights would be sold regardless.
StVZO compliant lights are the industry standard now, so you would basicly have to search specificly for some non-compliant chinese retina grill to break the law.

Still annoying even here. If there aren't any fags walking on the pavement, I do not give a shit and will ride on the walking lane. There is almost never people here, so the biking lane annoys me. When you're biking with someone else, there is no space for two on the biking lane and I rarely go alone when I bike.

Well it's for the sake of cyclists too.
When I ripped my fucking eyebrow off, it was from riding too fast on the sidewalk. Driver never looked for me, because there wouldn't have been a car there for him to see, so he went, tipping me over headfirst into the street, smashing my glasses into my head.
Completly tacoed my front wheel and fled the scene. Walked past a pig bleeding out and he didn't even get out of his patrol car.
Such is life in the States

The EU does not want people travelling by bicycle. The EU wants people using bikes as a way to increase pedestrian speed, that's all. Bicycles are not treated as serious vehicles because lawmakers struggle to milk money off their use like they do with auto traffic.

Nobody is going to bother with that beurocracy, it's a disincentive. More powerful ebikes are mostly used for hill climbing.
