Does photochromatic lenses really work? Would be nice to not to have change lenses depending is it sunny or not.

Yes photochromatic lenses work, very practicable in changing light situations like in a forest or when entering tunnels. Worth the surcharge imo

they work, but they don't get quite as dark as a regular tinted lens. pair with a cycling cap to keep the glare out.

All cycling and sports glasses look fucking awful and if you wear them you look like a cunt.
Photochromic lenses are popular on regular glasses with turboautists.
That said, I have a pair of photochromic cycling glasses and once I ignore how much of an autistic cunt I look, they are fantastic.

I got some knockoff 100% glasses on aliexpress for about 13 dollars with shipping and they're basically identical to my friend's legit ones which cost him like $180. Cycling sunglasses, like anything owned by Luxottica, are at about a 1000% markup. I've used legit Oakleys with the prizm lenses before as well and there's really not much difference, it's all marketing.

Buy chinkshit, it is literally the same stuff (eyewear is not hard to make) but with the decimal place moved one to the left. Can't stress enough that when you buy official products you are spending $150+ on an item worth under $20. The only reason glasses are so expensive is price fixing.
