Like... If you got 100 bicycle athletes on the same chromoly, or even hiten, bikes then they'd all be equal. I think this is how it's done during velodrome races in Japan. Everyone has the same bike, made of the same steel, set up the same way, so it's all exactly equally fair.
How is it fair when someone can come up with with a frameset, hubs, and rims made of graphene and buckyballs so it weighs 1 lb and they trounce their rivals? How is that a real competition?
Shouldn't these guys be riding the EXACT same bike? Otherwise the technology of the bike becomes as important as the rider, and that seems dumb.
