Naming locomotives like ships is such a cool concept I wish nations other than the UK, and sometimes it's dominions, did it.

It was a thing in the U.S. at one time, like with the General and Texas in the 1862 Great Locomotive Chase, but as fleets of engines grew I guess it became easier to just number them.
