How do you deal with wind on your bikes? It’s getting super windy here in germany. I wear glasses but it doesn’t help a lot

I wear regular eyeglasses and have never found the wind to be a problem for my eyes.

Except on fast mtb downhills which I don't do often. I instinctively stop blinking so my eyes will water. So when my vision starts getting blurry it reminds me to start blinking.

As someone who is commuting daily, some tips:
- windproof jacket (Gorewear Spirit works well with a t-shirt even at 0°C)
- thick buff scarfs that you can cover your mouth with
- road bike handlebars help so much with headwind, you will not believe when you haven't tried. Randonneurs beat trecking bikes anyway.

'Rule 28' is the goto anti-wind brand, eliminate all unnecessary wind resistance on your bike and on yourself and seek out the path of least wind, ie it's better to go a slightly longer route that keeps you shielded from a powerful side or head wind.

These things actually work really well. They look goofy but who cares? There's nothing worse than being half-deaf after a ride from wind noise.

Don't buy them though. You can make yourself for ~$10

In the midwest we routinely have half our days over 20 mph here. Tomorrow the wind is 41 mph.

You ride anything less than 25 mph, you will shift into easier to pedal gears, you will park in those drops, you will curse the wind, you will find a strava segment with the wind at your back
