If this causes you great concern I'd advise you don't look too closely at other stations, including the very one in question. The banana would have caught any actual issues, all HST-permitted track gets a run through at least once a month.
I appreciate the government/NR can be slow and bad a lot of the time but I can't understand why you are causing this much fuss over something so mild.
Sidenote though it does look better in any 2020+ footage I've seen of the station.
