>>1621139>Marathon plus Agreed, I have a pair of marathon plus tour, and although not solid they are pretty much armour plated, zero punctures so far after 3,000+ miles of urban cycling. They don't weigh nearly as much and the ride isn't as bad as anon suggests, of course your bike frame etc will affect ride quality and weight too, I found that the carbon front fork, seat stem and a Brooks saddle more than compensate in terms of weight and comfort, and the complete lack of punctures is easily worth any perceived inconvenience or extra cost. I had plenty of punctures in my time and there's no fucking way I'd go back to slightly lighter tyres with smoother ride, after all I'm not competing with anyone but myself.
