Saved money. Bought 2 cars and 2 apartments in cash. Ended up at 35 yo with my youth spent on the sea while everybody had fun. Wanted to go party and make up for the time lost. 25+ yo fun doesn't sound much fun at 35 and you look like a retard. Went to clubs but realized that I'm out of place when all the ppl there are 15 younger than me. You look like a fucking creep. Spending so much time at sea you lose contact with ppl and opportunities. Starting a business gets harder since you don't know to do anything else and you get to a position where large amounts of money come regularly so you say fuck it and go back to sea.
From 88 students that finished in my promotion i know only of 4 that quit sailing.
One married a rich girl and her father got him a good position in his company.
1 was seasick his first contract as a cadet and quit the first week. Never went back to ships
2 had traumatizing contracts as cadets, one literally went crazy. Fun story about this guy.
