muc off stuff does have a sinister sickly sweet smell to it. I have some of the chain degreaser that was cheap on scamazon a few months back and I thought I'd try it.
It's actually pretty good but it fucking stinks.

Chain degreasers smell sweet. That's what I expect from a chain degreaser. That's not a muc-off thing. But I've never had a chain lube that smelled sweet. Or had any noticable smell at all really.

I've been using wax for a couple years now for year-round riding in southern Finland. I made my own mix from beeswax and some candles. It works great, and the best thing about it is that you can do all your chain maintenance indoors without any mess.

Now you have a assload of high quality chain oil that'll work better than most and cost nearly nothing.

Apply with the driveline badly crosschained and be sure to wipe of excess after the petrol fumes off.
