Checked the frame number against the UK database and doesn't come up as stolen, going to see it now, if it fits I'll £250 but will pay full £280 if he insists.

I bought a bike and check it on here. Turns out it had been stolen a year prior. You can directly email the person who filed the report. In my case the bloke had already bought a new bike with the compensation so the bike I'd bought technically belonged to the insurance company. He got in contact with them and they said they didn't give a fuck. Then he cancelled the police report and told me I could have it.

Probably stolen. Ask for proof that the bike is his/hers. can be old pics, or a reciept. If there are no proofs the bike is stolen, ask for $180.

The combination of memes SS/fixed + wide tires + unracer alt bars on a meh-tier 4130 overbuilt tough frame with no rack mounts or gears is pretty damn niche. I can see it being a lot of fun but not particularly practical. And it does defeat the purpose of both memes. It's not svelte and minimalist and it doesn't have much utility value. Plus it's Ugly as fuck AND a theft magnet.

For 1 bike i'd MUCH rather have a chromoly 90s road or rigid mtb with a rack and basket on it and gears. Which is very doable for that money. The only reason to buy this is if you're phobic of wrenching or have a bunch of other bikes too.
