Around 36 dead in Taiwanese train crash. This is the puyoma train 普悠瑪列車 which is pretty quick but not HSR. This shit also crashed just 2 or 3 years ago and killed 18 people in roughly the same area.

I remember when they just literally burried the cars at the site immediately after it happened. We were shitposting about it on /sp/ at the time.

I have no doubt China has had multiple unreported multi casualty rail incidents in the past decade. Given the scope of their rail network and the shoddy quality of construction in china it's impossible that more similar incidents havent happened.

It's sort of like how they reported only 100k covid cases, all at the beginning of the pandemic. Then when too many popped up they just blamed it on imported frozen food.

Real fucking joke shit.

This is really shameful and sad for Taiwan.

For those of you unaware, we are on the first day off for Tomb Sweeping Festival in Taiwan.
The train was filled with tourists going to Hualien to enjoy the long weekend.

From what I've seen, it was unmanned and they're speaking with a driver.
