One of the complaints was running costs, but oil prices are unstable and high enough to justify alternatives nowadays.
Other was maintenance, it seems to have dramatically improved in modern mini-reactors.
Another problem is the heat engine that usually is coupled to the fission reactor, it's shit. Coal powered plants are using supercritical gasses to improve their efficiency and there are many other advances in this area.
Decommissioning nuclear ships also seems to be a nightmare.
