>>1640250You should, you wouldnt believe how quickly things change on the railways, you will be glad you took photos of the things you did in the future.. I sure am happy with some of the photos I have, many of them already unrepeatable :)
>>1640360Thanks dude, perhaps, yeah, thing is, I dont present my photos that much :D Mostly keep em to myself
>>1640373Well thats what makes a good photo afterall, no obstruction, good composition, be it from the front, 3/4 view or side, good use of sunlight, good image quality and good post-production. Some do take it a step further and dont even go outside during bad weather or wouldnt take a photo of some interesting machine parked in the corner of some factory. That is kinda dumb yeah, or some of the folks which, while reviewing your photos on certain sites, care about what precise shade of the sky you should have on your photo at such time of day.. yeah, thats looney stuff. Or how some people criticise really casual people really hard.. yeah thats shit.
However once you join those circles like I did, you are expected to put out atleast decently looking photos. It does come with good benefits afterall, you do have better info than most people, you could get your photo somewhere, a calendar, magazine and so on and overall you get to meet some incredible people who will also be willing to help you. Dont get discouraged because of some criticism, afterall they are trying to help you. :) I also started with really, but reeeeeallly bad photos, but I listened to their criticism and now I am actually pretty pleased with my photos. :D
Speaking of which.. a photo in suboptimal conditions, as you put it basically. Still, one I am extremely happy with. To catch a train on this railway, that is veeeery rare, nearly impossible for a casual person. Even I almost didnt make it, the train was just a few kilometers away when I was running down the road to an optimal spot. :D
