>>1636317 again, anon. for me, at least, it's not that i want to sit on my ass all day playing video games and inhaling chicken nuggets; it's that my job is objectively, literally making the world a worse place. and yet, to keep shelter over my head and to not starve to death, i'm obliged to sell my labour in the most effective way i can. i *hate* that, and i hate that the only way out, the only alternative to this capitalist system, is to go live in the woods and eat squirrels and tree bark.
i'm good with my hands. like in a perfect, ideal world, i'd love to just do odd jobs for people, day in, day out, for the sheer joy of it, for the sheer pleasure of having done something useful and helpful and worthwhile for someone in need. 'join a trade', says the capitalist, as though moving from fossil fuel logistics to manual labour is a just, fair alternative, and won't turn my knees and back to burger following decades of precarious employment, leaving me unable to enjoy whatever meager retirement i've been able to scrounge together.
sorry to hit you with a wall-o-text. just gotta, get it out lol.
