>>1650027>Still not very happy this is the intentThe speed record is just one part in a list of many reasons and one the T1 Trust doesn't even mention anymore - probably because of mallardcucks constantly seething at every mention of the T1. The performance of the T1, not just its speed, has been a matter of debate for quite sometime. It was the most hotly discussed topic in the PRR community for years. It's also a unique locomotive mechanically and one of the more successful of the PRR's special snowflake designs. Most importantly it wasn't preserved. The PRR did try to preserve at least one example of it's locomotive classes, and while none of the other special snowflake designs were preserved, the T1 probably fit the bill to join the survivors.
>how do I stop being so autistic about it?Just remember the T1 probably wasn't the only Pennsylvania Railroad locomotive that was faster than the Mallard. By happy they're only building a T1 and not the S1 too.
