how the hell am I supposed to turn on this intersection.
what angle is the correct turn for a left turn from the diversion onto macdonald.
what's the point of the broken yellow lines?

do you do a left hand turn like a vehicle (the North American way)?
Or do you go straight, stop at the perpendicular lane, wait for the light and then go straight? Like in pic related

Just whatever angle you need to not hit anything or cut across 5 different lanes. Your car should be capable of doing U-turns so this one shouldn't be a big deal.

that's what i did, it was basically a big L and my pops said it was potentially dangerous. maybe i turned too late.

The main 'danger' would be taking an angle where you went into the space where that car in front pointed south is. Other than that, if dad doesn't like it make him show you how he thinks it should be done.
