They’re always either complete brain dead left wing. Saw a few getting annoyed at some article that said “Great British Rail” cos apparently the term GB is racist, all of them love the gay pride livery etc etc

Or they’re the worst kind of conservatives who just have the worst mentality of OLD GOOD NEW BAD

Maybe it is just an anglo thing. I don't feel the same about french or german train enthusiasts groupe. Every english-speaking trains group I followed on FB was more a trans-people safe-space than real enthusiasts groups.

Maybe it is because the political nature of public transportation is heavily debated in US and UK, while in other countries the train network is already well accepted and efficient. Therefore you can discuss about the technical details of each rolling stock rather than bitching about why this new line will fail because right-wing people are bad.

NUMTOTs is like that. I get the feeling 90% of them don’t know shit about rail or urbanism, they’re just there to complain about gentrification.
It’s to the point where many of them will oppose transit-oriented development because they think it’s gentrification.

For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.

One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".

Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.

I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.
