Tried going for a ride yesterday evening, has been stormy the last few days so i haven't had much time to ride, but weather looked clearer finally yesterday, just with gusty winds. So I'm cruising along, was about 10 miles from home and i notice everything getting dark around me, even though the sky was still blue, sun hadn't set yet. I'm thinking wtf, do i really need to turn on my headlight already? Then i turn a corner and look back where i was coming from and the sky was almost pitch black with clouds and had that horrible green/yellow tone to it that usually means it's thunderstorm time. I was scared shitless boys, i had to go back that way to get home, and it was like somebody had just drawn a line across the sky and stitched together the most horrifying storm on one side and s peaceful calm sky on the other. So i start hauling ass back, and i fucking moved, winds were picking up by then, easily over 20 mph steady, much higher in gusts and i was fighting a bit to keep my bike moving in a straight line, but I really fucking rode, i set multiple PRs on my way back home, like easily 10+ seconds faster than my previous times in some segments. Things started looking so bad i even saw less cars on the road, like everyone was afraid to drive it was getting so severe. The lightening started up when I was like 2 miles from home no rain at all but flashes in the sky and rolling thunder and i almost pissed myself i was so scared, the sky, the wind, the sound of tree branches getting thrashed around, it was something right out of a horror movie. I get home before a single drop of rain falls, and I'm watching through my window as i clean off my bike and the storm just weakens into a little bitch of a rainstorm, the thunder stops, the wind calms down, it's just normal rain. I feel cheated, i rode home like i was fleeing sudden death, i wanted to watch armageddon as compensation for my effort
