Tell me how you are suppose to service and install that. Because i see issues.
First I see is that regardless of how its installed(factory on rim, aftermarked) you still need a specialized tool to get the rubber past something that is wider than the rim. Runflats are bad enough to install, i can't image how bad its going to be to try to force a normal tire past a inner rim that adds 1 or 2 to the radial size.
The second issue issue I can image is load index. Currently you can buy whatever rim you want, but the load index is on the wheel. The ring needs to match the load index, otherwise you are just going to dent the rim once its doing its function. Its worth mentioning that runflat tires will still dent aluminium rims in most cases, meaning the current popular doesn't work.
