Anyone else get reminded by the WALL-E movie when they see zoomers on those electric scooters rather than walking or using bicycle?

In the end I don't mind them because there is an adorable boomer couple in my neighborhood that rides a tandem recumbent bike and they're out microdosing and looking at the flowers or whatever when I'm doing TT laps at the conservation area going clockwise to their counterclockwise.

Boomers are just as bad if not worse. Their obsession with e bikes is fucking stupid. Dropping 10k on a FS e bike just to go ride a flat graded lime walking track is proof enough that boomers have too much money and no sense and theres nothing at all wrong with cheating it from them.

Normally I don't give a fuck what anyone uses but about three years ago my city leased a ton of e-scooters for downtown and during the summer there are veritable swarms of zoomers zooming about all over the place with little regard to the safety of anyone. It's obnoxious as fuck, especially since I doubt many of them are actually trying to go anywhere in particular and are just riding them to kill time. They also leave them sitting all over the place in random spots, blocking sidewalks and parking lots.
