That being said, foldable bikes are less capable than pretty much any other type of city bike. The long stem these bikes have kill any possible ridigity when maneuvering over obstacles. Jumping over a curb on a folding bike gives a horrible feeling.
You should get a foldable only if you truly use its folding capability to the maximum. Get any other type of bike otherwise.
I bought a foldable bike out of curiosity I have always been curious about them, but trust me, once you ride one, you will feel that the handling is very limiting, you could do it better with any solid frame bike
