Fellow Queens/NYC anon here:
>>1674343>ocean parkwayUnless it's been fixed, I went that route last year and it's ASS. 95% of the blocks have major tree root damage, it's insanely bumpy and a really uncomfortable ride. On the way back I went on the service road because it was that bad, but both directions it's pretty narrow so if you get a car behind you they usually can't pass and it can make for some unfriendly encounters.
tldr: fuck ocean parkway, stick to Bedford a few blocks over. Bedford is two directional for most of Brooklyn, it turns one-way north way up by Williamsburg though so you can't coast it the whole way.
> 9WI've heard good things but haven't tried it yet, good suggestion anon.
>>1675881>>1675653Also of note, coming from Queens, the triboro is garbage for cyclists. There's like four sets of staircases (yes, stairs) in the mid section and Queens side of the bridge. The middle is narrow and no fence, so don't go too fast desu in case you trip lol. Randalls though is nice. The ped bridge to the UES is also shitty, ton of hairpin turns on the Manhattan side, but it's fine to walk down on that side.
