No because the kind of person that does group rides is typically part of a cycling club and therefore not the kind of person I want to associate with because people in cycling clubs are vapid and annoying

just check local strava groups and facebook, thats usually how they get together. It can be fun and also you can find really good deals on bike stuff from freds who buy new shit every year. I've gotten such great finds this way.

ehh, i try to ride with groups now and again. at best, i end up riding with a few cool people who ride well/better than i do and have a good time and a couple beers, though this is rare. it usually ends up being a slow speed/somewhat dangerous cringefest of people i wouldn't want to associate with at all. i find groups on instagram and via word of mouth. if you're a roadie, just look around for your local road club. almost everywhere has one.

i ride with friends about 2-3
had to convince them, but it still works.
this is a option if you had a longer break over winter and start again with untrained noobs

alternativly there are bike groups in every city, you could go there and ask to join and want some people to ride with. I dont really like that idea, since I also enjoy riding alone and push my limits

Yes, sometimes. Finding and getting into your first group ride in an area is the biggest hurdle, but once you start meeting people and getting incorporated in whatever means the cycling community uses to stay in contact there are usually lots of riding opportunities waiting. Facebook is usually the easiest way to find groups, yes yes I know, 'reee normie faceberg etc etc', but most if not all of the people you're going to be riding with are 'normies'.
