>>1673587OP there are plenty of people here who don't have money and can't afford more expensive bikes but have so much pride they won't admit that's why they're riding some old steel tenspeed or a cheap aluminum bike, and they'll insult expensive bikes out of crab mentality.
There's also people who believe the memes about carbon fiber bikes shattering for no reason, believe the meme pics of that is what's going to happen to ALL carbon fiber bikes. Fact of the matter is that doesn't happen to name-brand, non-counterfeit carbon fiber bikes, it happens to the counterfeit and no-name framesets from Asian countries that are low quality.
There are also plenty of people here who 'just ride', aren't fast, don't ride extreme distances, and a bike costing thousands of dollars just doesn't benefit them at all, a cheap bike is more than adequate for their purposes.
Finally there's jackasses here who are just as likely as not to not even own or ride bikes at all, and like to harass and troll people who do, convince them that some ancient generic steel bike is somehow better than a new carbon fiber or even aluminum bike, just because it amuses them to get people to make bad choices that they end up regretting.
Ride whatever you want to ride and nevermind what anyone around here tells you one way or the other.
