Why would anyone ACTUALLY buy a bike from a western company anymore? This reminds me of when I was a kid and ignorant uneducated types still unironically thought American cars were #1 despite being the laughingstock of the world. Is there a single American bike company or even bike COMPONENT company that's considered to be the best of its genre? Not "I like it and that's good enough for me" but the best in a measurable way?

The only western bike or bike parts country that isn't a total joke coasting on nostalgia and chauvanism at this point is Italy and they were barely saved by Carbon Ti.
