>>1690472That's interesting, in bongistan people riding "hacked" ebikes are getting caught and fined / their bikes confiscated etc. And I don't generally agree with laws but these do make sense, because if you make an effort to remove the limiter you know exactly what you're doing, why it's there, and why you want to remove it. It's an active thing that can't happen by accident "oh sorry officer I accidentally installed custom software on my motor controller and installed a kit specifically designed to override safety features, I'm so sorry, it won't happen again" yeah nah.
It's exactly like people who remove the DPF or cat from their car. It's there for a very good reason, you know exactly what you're doing in removing it, and deserve everything you get if you get caught.
if you want a motorcycle, just get one. They're actually not any more expensive than a (not shit) ebike.
