I have OSMAnd on android, but it's a pain to use the little phone screen for planning longer routes when I could use my huge desktop monitor and keyboard.
Google maps keeps wanting to send me down boring, car infested A and B roads when there are comfy country lanes available.
There are some OSM based desktop programs, but none of them look that amazing, unless I'm missing something. So far going back to paper maps seems like an attractive option.
