I drive on road and some gravel and mainly care about ventilation, comfort, and safety (duh).

What are some good brands and models that don't break the bank? I started looking at brands like Giro, Specialized and Kask. I don't know many others. Two brands that are very common here are Uvex and Abus. Are they any good?
Giro looked like an interesting brand, but I read they often don't have insect nets. There are lots of small flies around here in the forest, but no hornets.
