Motorcyclist Question

No.1678678 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Hey all,

Some facts first: I ride a Honda VFR 1200 Interceptor, I live on the East coast, I am white, I have been riding motorcycles for twelve years.

Today many bikes were out (4th july) and coming back on the highway home a cruiser (probably domestic) in front of me started pointing to the ground like he was changing lanes or the standard greeting. I was behind him at a good distance. He did it three times over the course of three minutes or so. Did he want me to pull up and split lanes with him, pass him (I wasn't speeding really) or was he signaling something else? This has never happened to me before. I don't exactly want to ride beside him because I got a 15yo on my back who I am nailing that has only been on a bike twice holding on for dear life. I am 33 and it looks strange. What did he want? Was he just trying to be sociable?

Thank you.
