Although I really recommend Alfine 11 IGH, it's so much better than Alfine/Nexus 8. Aside more gears, you don't need to disassemble the entire thing to change oil, direction of shifting is like in regular derailleurs (you pull the cable to shift to lower gear, opposite of other Shimano IGHs), it has a nice little lever to easily disconnect the cable when removing the wheel, and also the shifter is one of the comfiest I've ever used. I had an e-bike with a Rohloff hub, and I must say changing gears on Shimano feels smoother and more precise.
I have this bike

Maybe I'll post pics in /pybt/ some day, but I'll have to clean it first and fix a few minor things. Anyway, I had many bikes before, including said Rohloff e-bike (with a regular chain though), and this one is so good I'm not planning to replace it until either the hub or frame breaks, or it gets stolen. And my next commuter bike will most likely also include Alfine 11 and belt drive.
