Is this an effect of population density though, or just the effect of being landlocked in a concrete jungle with noise, pollution and nowhere interesting to go?
I wouldn't mind living in a literal pod so long as I could hop on my MTB and ride 5 minutes to a massive forest.

too late for that shit, it's too complicated to control anymore. you can only do half assed round about ways to try and nudge things in a vague way, and that always ends up causing more problems. only way is either a time machine or a mass population cull then wait a couple hundred years for the drama to calm down and be forgotten about
