why are transit shills so delusional? i personally have never seen an example of transit being faster than driving in a practical application, even in a population dense place with a very sophisticated transit system like japan

like this tweet for example, i punched in some actual destinations rather than just train to train and transit is much slower than driving

add in a quick shopping detour to the transit trip and that's going to tack another hour on that would be 10-15 minutes if you're driving

there are some very isolated examples where transit is faster, but it's pretty damn rare in my experience

discuss locations where transit is practical, if they even exist
