>>1698415Hi, /mtb/.
I just moved out of my parents' house in may. Sick of their shit, having dealt with them breathing down my neck for way too long. They kept me from taking my mountain bike with me, as well as a nice computer, solely because they had the receipts for both. Now I'm looking to purchase a new mountain bike.
I'm working a tech support job, which allows me to work from home, taking calls from customers that don't know what they're doing. It pays well, and I can make about $200 in savings every pay cycle, which happens every 2 weeks. That savings number isn't consistent, depending on what needs to be done at that time, but that's the gist of it.
I'm looking for a reliable mountain bike with full suspension that still lies within my price range. I don't really trust internet reviews or articles for bikes, as I'm sure we all know every newsletter writer is paid by someone, who I'm sure is shilling out to someone even higher up the economic food chain.
I just want a couple options that won't force me to wait 6 months to have what I want.
I didn't get to do a whole lot of mountain biking when I was younger, at least not as much as I would've liked to. So in this sense, I don't want to break something that's overly expensive, or buy something that I can't use to its full potential.
Any suggestions?
